Polson’s Duckworth claims state title

SHELBY – Kiel Duckworth of Polson defeated Jay Bond of Sidney in sudden death to earn the individual championship Sunday at the Sunday at the weather-delayed state Class A golf tournament at Marias Valley Golf Club.
The two were tied after regulation with 146 totals as Duckworth fashioned rounds of 71 and 75, while Bond had two rounds of 73. Duckworth, who finished second at last year’s state tournament, claimed his fourth individual title of the campaign.
